According to the “Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector“, AMPS is required to have a privacy/confidentiality policy. (Although academic unions may not normally be thought of as “private sector”, they do in fact have obligations under the act.) Our privacy policy can be found here: link.
The Act also requires AMPS to publish the title and contact information of the person in charge of personal information. The executive have agreed that currently the president of AMPS is in charge of AMPS’ members personal information; the president can be reached about privacy-related questions or issues at privacy@mcgillscience.ca.
